Rob Galioto is the principal and founder of Leverage Analytics, LLC, a management consulting firm helping clients bring together strategy and execution to produce results. Rob began his career in biotechnology and transitioned into business to assist biotech companies in their business development efforts. Since 2004 Rob has worked with startup, small, and mid-sized businesses of all types to establish business models and strategies for success.
Rob has an MBA from the UB School of Management, University at Buffalo (State University of New York). While at UB, Rob reviewed, analyzed, and provided marketing opinions to tech transfer office management on dozens of technologies developed at the university. Market positioning, competitive analysis, and business development were key elements of this work. Concurrently and following his time at UB, Rob developed business plans, strategic partnership plans, and IP management strategies for over a dozen companies including Buffalo Bioblower and Bufflink. After leaving UB, Rob served as a product manager at United Biochemicals, a chemical and liquid cell culture media manufacturer in the Buffalo metro area. Rob developed the company’s first sales tracking analytics, custom production models, and pricing methodologies resulting in increases in net margin of over 300%.
Following his time in Buffalo, Rob served as Director of Technology and Programs at the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI), a non-profit technology business incubator in Frederick Maryland. At FITCI, Rob counseled over 30 client companies and developed and ran FITCI’s business education and assistance programs. While at FITCI, Rob developed a business and technology valuation Excel model used by a client to determine the risk adjusted value of its biotechnology products in development.
Subsequent to his tenure at FITCI, Rob became the Director of Business Development at Integrated BioTherapeutics, Inc. (IBT). At IBT he focused on creating and negotiating business opportunities, strategic planning, decision analysis, developing business processes, sales and marketing for IBT’s services business unit (IBT Bioservices), and legal and intellectual property management and strategy. Rob negotiated over a dozen large contracts and managed dozens of partnerships over two hundred business agreements.
